How do I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Personal Savior?
Romans 3:23 lets us know that "...all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (NKJV)
Yet according to Romans 5:8, Even though we were sinners, God still loved us
enough to provide a way out of our sin by sending us a Savior - who is his son Jesus
Christ. It is through this same Jesus, that we now have an opportunity to be saved.
For the scripture says: "But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while
we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (NKJV)
Now that we understand how we became sinners and who our Savior is, how now do
we enter into the family of God? It is simple! There is nothing difficult to receiving
the gift of God (Salvation). God has already extended it to us all. Salvation is a two-
fold process. All you have to do is believe sincerely in our heart that Jesus Christ is
Lord - That He lived, died and was raised from the dead just for you. Once you
believe in your heart, you then confess Him as Lord of your life and at that point, you
are saved! For Romans 10:9 declares, "That if you confess with your mouth the
Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will
be saved." (NKJV)
Once you have made this confession, according to the word you are saved! It is not
based on your feelings, but on the word and the word says in I John 5:11-13 -"
And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His
Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not
have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of
God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to
believe in the name of the Son of God." (NKJV)
Are you ready to make the confession that Jesus is your Lord and Savior?
Repeat this prayer:
Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus. Your Word declares that God so loved
the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes on Him
should not perish, but have everlasting life. I confess my belief in Jesus and know
that you give unto me salvation. You said in your Word, if I shall confess with my
mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in my heart that God raised him from the
dead; I would be saved. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I believe
that He lived, died and was raised from the dead for my justification. I am calling
upon the name of Jesus, so I know, Father that you save me now. Your Word says
.with the heart, man believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth, confession is
made unto salvation. I do believe with my heart, and I confess Jesus now as my
Lord. Therefore, I am saved! Thank you, Father, in Jesus' name.
Amen.
